Had a meal for 12 here on Friday 6th July, the night before a family wedding. We were allocated the very lovely Liszt Room, which was gorgeous - oak beams, wood panelling - a lovely atmosphere. The service here is friendly and fast, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone in our party raved how good their meals were. I had the Welsh beef, cask ale and Stilton pie which is just about the best pie I've ever had, followed by maple & pecan ice cream. The drink selection was very good, and we all left feeling happy, relaxed and very pleased with our evening. It's my second trip to The Black Lion Inn when visiting family in Holywell, and I'm sure it won't be my last as it's their favourite pub - very easy to see why! Recommended.

The Black Lion Inn has a long standing reputation for good food. Our menu, with its locally sourced ingredients and homemade produce, is added to with our ever changing specials. We serve our full a la carte menu from Wednesday through to Sunday, with our specials board offering ‘something different’ on a Friday and Saturday

We endeavour to use locally sourced ingredients and products. Our thanks go to I.T Jones of Ffynnongroew for our quality Welsh meats, Blas ar Fwyd for our cheeses, Facers Brewery for the Black Lion Ale, Kennedy’s of Holywell, Terry Platt of Llandudno for our wines and Purple Moose and Great Orme Breweries for our Guest Ales.
